Do you think part of the reason America is being left behind is because of people majoring in crappy majors?

I think it is a really big factor.. our univiersities graduate MORE foreign engineers and doctors - who take that knowledge back to their home country.. than the people who live here. But you can't blame the students.. they are making a calculation based on return for their college investment. With the trend in outsourcing research, development, and engineering to china and india - there's no incentive for them to pursue those difficult subjects.. especially when they can make a lot more money with an MBA, which is a lot easier to achieve.
