What was this movie called?

All I remember was a man was knocked into a coma at the age of 9 and than awaken with no memory at the age of 36. He thought his whole dream was the real world and than he woke up into the real world, and his world, his dream, was more advanced. He didn't know how to work things in real life so he worked them the same way he did in his dream. He invented the hover craft, time machine, and more in just a month. The world was after him on how to do things. I don't remember it... But in the end, his mother uses the time travel he invented to go back because he did suicide. She went back to stop him from even getting into the coma, which killed her but saved her son...
