I disagree with everyone on here. If you use your protein shakes as a meal replacement, you will lose weight. If you simply add the protein shakes to a unhealthy diet then you will gain weight. Because you are feeding your body protein, you will burn more fat. But be mindful that muscle weighs more than fat. So after a while you will have lost a lot of fat "weight" but if you are doing muscle building exercising then eventually you'll gain weight...even if it is muscle weight.
